So BJ and I are totally under water right now.  We are working on demolishing the new house and trying to gussy up the old house to get ready for sale.  OMG there is so much work to do it is totally overwhelming.  So what do we do?  What any responsible tax paying adult would do.....we went fishing.  Yep, all day on Saturday. We fished with our friends Lewis and Kristen and their beautiful daughter Elena in the Saltwater Shootout Kingfish Tournament.   Left the house at 4A and didn't get back til 10P.  Why so late????  Because we won.  That's right - numero uno, first place, A1, tippy top. We caught a massive stud kingfish 51.38 pounds.  So playing hooky paid off.  There's always next week!

Crazy like a fox!

BJ and I have been looking for a house in St. Augustine for what seems like forever.  We have put offers on various in-town fixer uppers, but I was starting to get the impression God did not want me to live in St. Augustine.  Why not?  I love this town, the fireworks, the Old Town Trolley, tourists walking the streets that have been there since the 1500's, O'Steens, The Bridge of Lions and oh yes, the Atlantic Ocean.  So when our real estate agent, Jane Wolfe, with Coldwell Banker (that's a plug) called and said she found the perfect house for us, I said, yeah right.  So we took a ride down to have a little look.  It met all the criteria, parking for the boat, work trailers, etc., in the city limits of St. Augustine, OLD, in terrible condition.  Jackpot!!! After some tense weeks of negotiations and a little help from my dad, finally this house is really ours.  All my friends think I am crazy.  "That's a lot of work."  No kidding.  I like to look at it as an exercise/weight loss plan.  So on day five, some real estate agent rolls up in her Infinity and asks if we would be interested in selling our house for 30K more than we paid for it.  No way!  Crazy you say?  Crazy like a fox!

......and here are the after pics. Look closely to find what makes this a redneck renovation. I'm sure the neighbors loved that!

Here are some before pics of the garage/BJs doghouse. It needs a haircut! Yikes
